Art Library
Louise Greene, Art Reference Librarian.
Louise maintains the Art Library Web site, including Resources
for the Study of Art, Art History, and Archaeology and
the subject guides to information resources. These provide
an overview of the major print and electronic art research
resources -- in general, and within specific subject areas.
Visit the Art Library's Web site at www.lib.umd.edu/UMCP/ART/art.html.
In addition, Louise provides reference and research assistance
to students and faculty on a walk-in basis during reference
hours (10-12 and 1-3, Monday - Friday) and at other times
by appointment.
Electronic Media Center (EMC)
Catherine Hays, Coordinator. Catherine
is the best resource on campus if you want to learn the latest
on computer technology and the arts. In addition to answering
questions for the novice and advanced computer user, she offers
regular free mini-courses on how to use Adobe Photoshop, scanners,
writing HTML, and designing Web pages. Since the fields of
art history and archaeology are increasingly merging with
digital technologies, why not take a few minutes and learn
what it's all about at the EMC? Catherine and her staff have
set aside hours for graduate students and faculty to work
on projects with the Power Macs and scanning hardware in the
lab. Catherine specializes in helping people to overcome their
technophobia. You may email her at chays@deans.umd.edu.
